West Brom's Rayhaan Tulloch joins Dundalk in loan deal

Former England underage striker Rayhaan Tulloch has completed a loan move from Championship outfit West Bromwich Albion to Dundalk, pending international clearance.

Tulloch, who joined the Baggies at the age of nine, progressed through the ranks at the Hawthorns and made his first-team debut for the club in an FA Cup tie against Brighton in 2019.

Loan spells at Doncaster Rovers and Rochdale followed, with the 22-year-old hoping to reignite his career at Oriel Park.

"I'm looking forward to playing in Ireland," Tulloch told Dundalk's official website. "I’ve heard a lot of positive things about the league and especially about Dundalk.

"I’ve been told it’s a highly professional environment and they do things properly at the club. They want to get back to the top and they have big ambitions which suits me as a player.

"I’m coming over to try and play as many games as possible and my hope is to try and score goals and provide assists and help Dundalk get back to where they want to be."

Dundalk head coach Stephen O'Donnell believes Tulloch will add an extra dimension to his side's play, saying: "I'm delighted to get Rayhaan on board. He will give us another option in the attacking areas, off the wing or in the number 10 position, and he can make a difference in the final third.

"He's a player with a lot of talent and it’s up to us now to get the best out of that ability. We will make the environment he’s coming into as comfortable as possible to give him a platform to thrive.

"I’m sure our fans will love him. He creates chances, space and provides goals and assists and I can’t wait to work with him, develop him, and try and get the best out of him."
