Southern Counties East round-up as Deal Town make it six wins in a row

In-form Deal climbed to second place in the Southern Counties East Premier Division.

The Hoops secured a sixth successive victory with Connor Coyne’s 10th-minute strike enough to beat Rusthall in front of a big home crowd of 477.

They move above Phoenix, whose own winning streak was ended by Bearsted.

It finished 1-1, with Andy Pugh cancelling out Colby Waite’s opener for the Bears.

Erith Town are level on points with Phoenix after coming from a goal down to win 3-1 at Kennington.

James Haylock-Ashdown put Ton in front but James Trueman levelled and Hayden Bullas and Harry Taylor won it for the Dockers in the last 20 minutes.

Hollands & Blair backed up their midweek win at leaders Erith & Belvedere with Rob Gillman on target midway through the second half in a 1-0 home victory against Glebe.

Both sides scored late as Whitstable drew 2-2 with Lordswood at the Belmont.

Town led just after the break courtesy of an own goal, with Mason Morgan levelling.

There were eight minutes left when Ethan Stewart put Lords 2-1 up but James Jeffrey salvaged a point three minutes later.

Festos Kamara scored three minutes from time as Tunbridge Wells edged Holmesdale 1-0.

Dan Parkinson and Rob Hughes scored inside 13 minutes, with Tommy Whitnell and Alfie Moynes also on target in a 4-1 win against Punjab United.

Veteran striker Paul Vines was the Punjab scorer.

Arlie Desanges scored all the goals for Sutton Athletic in their 4-1 win over struggling K Sports.

Snodland Town moved five points clear in Division 1, Jon Pilbeam on target in a 1-0 win over Croydon.
