West Brom and Huddersfield teams as Alex Mowatt pulls through

West Bromwich Albion are unchanged for the first time in the early stages of Steve Bruce’s reign as they seek to follow up their win at Hull City last time out with another success against Huddersfield Town at The Hawthorns.

Albion take on both of the Championship’s current top two on home soil in the next few days, but there’s a chance to apply a little pressure on the pack of sides above them who are eyeing a play-off place ahead of this weekend’s games.

The Baggies were much improved at the MKM Stadium last weekend but they’ll need to build on that, against a side who were recently 17 matches unbeaten and who saw Albion off in the reverse fixture at the John Smith’s Stadium back in November.

Albion have been sweating on the fitness and availability of midfielder Alex Mowatt in the build up to this fixture, but he has pulled through and takes up his place in the midfield trio alongside captain Jake Livermore and Taylor Gardner-Hickman.

Karlan Grant, who arrived at Albion from Huddersfield in the summer of 2020 and who scored both goals for the Baggies last Saturday, lines up against his former employers and colleagues.
