Wembley ticket update provided as Nottingham Forest fans rush to secure seats for play-offs final

Excitement is building for Nottingham Forest’s trip to Wembley next week, with fans eager to secure their seats.

Tickets for the Reds’ promotion showdown with Huddersfield Town went on sale to season card holders on Thursday. And by the end of the day, more than 18,500 had been sold.

That came after a morning rush, which the club say led to “record sales” during the first hour. Online sales started at 9am, while from 2pm season card holders were able to purchase tickets over the phone.

Forest have been allocated 36,475 general admission tickets at the West End of the stadium. They are being made available in staggered blocks.

On Sunday, from 10am, season card holders will be able to secure their spot in-person, from the club’s ticket office. Then, at 9am on Monday, the process will open to NFFC members.

That will be followed by fans with a booking history of at least three fixtures during this season, from noon that day.

From noon next Tuesday, supporters with a booking history of at least one match during this season will be able to buy tickets. And from noon next Wednesday, they will be available to anyone with a Forest booking history.

The Championship play-offs final kicks off at 4.30pm a week on Sunday (May 29). Steve Cooper’s side came through a dramatic night at the City Ground on Tuesday to set up the clash with the Terriers.

The Reds held a 2-1 advantage over the Blades from the first leg of their semi-final at Bramall Lane. But their opponents levelled the aggregate scores on the night, forcing a penalty shootout. Brice Samba came to Forest’s rescue, saving three of the five spot-kicks he faced to send his team through.
