‘We will see’ – Watford man reacts as Liverpool and Newcastle move closer to transfer
Watford attacker Ismaila Sarr has responded to claims he could leave Vicarage Road in the summer to join one of Liverpool, Newcastle or AC Milan.
Sarr hit five Premier League goals for Watford between August and November before picking up a ligament injury. He returned in February, only to be ruled out with a hamstring problem the following month.
Sarr is now back in action and aiming to stay fit for the remainder of the campaign. His availability will be integral if the Hornets are to avoid relegation.
According to recent reports in Italy, Liverpool, Newcastle and Milan are ‘getting serious’ over the winger.
Liverpool have long been on Sarr’s trail. They added Luis Diaz to their forward ranks in January but could make another attacking signing later this year.
Newcastle and Milan are recent additions to the transfer chase. It’s thought the Italian giants want Sarr to replace Junior Messias on the right flank. That’s because he is likely to return to Crotone at the end of his loan spell.
