Alex Iwobi says that he and his colleagues at Fulham will analyze Manchester United and see where they can hurt the Red Devils when both sides clash this weekend.

Iwobi is set to make his 20th Premier League appearance of the 2023/24 season when Fulham visit the in-form Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

Speaking to Fulham’s official website, Iwobi said: “I am looking forward to it. I mean Old Trafford, the pitch is huge, so I need to make sure my lungs are ready for that game.

“We’ll analyze them and see where we can hurt them and stop their strengths.” He made his 240th EPL appearance when Fulham lost 2-1 to Aston Villa at Craven Cottage last weekend.

The Nigerian international who had just returned from the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast entered the game as a substitute at halftime, replacing Willian.

Iwobi who has matched his best EPL scoring seasons, netting three times in 19 top-flight games this season has four goals and one assist in 22 games across board for Fulham and Everton.

The 27-year-old since making his debut during the 2015/16 season has made a total of 240 Premier League appearances from which he has scored 20 goals and contributed 28 other assists.

His fellow AFCON silver medallist, Calvin Bassey who replaced Tim Ream against Villa with 15 minutes remaining is in line for his 20th overall game for the Cottagers so far this season.
