Real Madrid are reportedly open to selling Spanish playmaker Marco Asensio this summer with Liverpool being linked to the 26-year-old.
Liverpool have had a busy start to the transfer window, spending a combined and initial £77million on Darwin Nunez, Fabio Carvalho and Calvin Ramsay. While the Reds reluctantly parted ways with club legend Sadio Mane with the Senegal international moving to Bayern Munich after spending six years on Merseyside in which he won every club trophy available.
The ECHO understands that Liverpool's transfer business is already complete for this summer, but reports from Spain suggest the Reds could be tempted to make a move for Asensio should the club feel it represents good value for money. While the Spain international is reportedly not convinced about leaving Los Blancos, if the 26-year-old was to move on, then he would prefer a move to Italy over England.
