We need to talk about Aaron Ramsdale's save on Sandro Tonali during England 0-0 Italy
England 0-0 Italy was as dull as the scoreline suggests.
The rematch of the Euro 2020 final at Molineux was a borefest truth be told and it would probably be best if the players were on their holidays.
England named a much-changed side for the UEFA Nations League encounter, with Reece James, Fikayo Tomori, James Ward-Prowse, Jack Grealish and Tammy Abraham all coming into the starting XI.
Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale was also handed a rare chance between the posts at the expense of Jordan Pickford.
And the former Sheffield United man certainly did his ambitions of becoming England’s number one no harm whatsoever.
As well as keeping a clean sheet, Ramsdale produced arguably the highlight of the match when he thwarted AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali from close-range in the first half.
The Italy ace looked certain to ripple the back of the net, but his shot was deflected away from goal by Ramsdale’s outstretched leg.
It was an incredible reflex save while his body was going the wrong way, one that looks even better from behind the goalkeeper.
