Wayne Rooney plunged into Birmingham crisis already as he has 2 clueless questions for his flops after being told 'f*** off'

Wayne Rooney is only two games into his tenure as Birmingham City boss - but he's already at a loss on how to turn things around.

He admitted as much after being told to 'f*** off back to America' by furious fans at full-time in his disastrous home debut. Manchester United and English football legend Rooney took the reins to much fanfare during the international break and was billed as a box office appointment by the Blues' new American owners.

Rooney took over a side going well under John Eustace - at the time of his controversial sacking, they were fifth in the Championship table and looking good for a promotion push. But after back-to-back defeats under Rooney with no goals scored, most recently a 2-0 home loss to Hull, they sit 12th and are sinking like a stone.

Discontented voices in the home end were heard telling him to "f*** off back to America," a furious dig seemingly angled as much towards the new ownership of the club as Rooney himself. Rooney then trudged off to give a team talk to his deflated flops where he admitted to the press he didn't know what to tell them.

Rooney confessed: “This is what I said to the players, ‘Be honest with me, if you don’t feel comfortable you can tell me, we can adjust, we can adapt’. It’s something for me to look at, am I asking too much, too soon? Can we adjust slightly what we are trying to do?"

Birmingham face Southampton, undefeated in their last five games and rooted in the playoffs after a shaky start, on the south coast this weekend. They then return to home soil against second-placed Ipswich Town, who have lost just one game this season, as he faces a serious uphill battle to turn things around from here.
