Proteas batter Khaya Zondo took a superman of a catch to dismiss opener David Warner on the opening ball of Australia's first innings in the first Test on Saturday at the Gabba.

After the Proteas were bowled out for 152 at tea, the tourists needed an early breakthrough as they took to the field.

Proteas fast bowler Kagiso Rabada took the new ball and struck on the opening delivery to remove Warner.

Zondo, who went out for a duck in the first innings, was fielding at short leg when Warner faced Rabada, who rib-tickled the ball. Zondo, who moved quickly, took a one-handed blinder to see the back of the Australian batter.
