Yashasvi effected one of the rare modes of run-outs during India's second T20I against Afghanistan in Indore on Sunday. While a batter getting runout is quite a common scene in the field of cricket, it is rare to see both the batter and the fielder engaging in a sprint race towards the stumps during the dismissal. The latter case happened when Jaiswal and Afghanistan pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi both ran at the non-striker's end with full might the Indian star winning the race and running his opponent out.

On the final delivery of the Afghanistan innings, Arshdeep Singh bowled a yorker to Naveen-ul-Haq with Farooqi being at the non-striker's end. The batters took a single before an attempted run-out throw from wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma missed the stumps and went towards Jaiswal at square leg.

Sensing an opportunity on the overthrow, Naveen pressed his teammate for another run and reached the other end quickly. Farooqi, however, could not be as fast as Naveen.

Jaiswal, who collected the ball, didn't take an aim at stumps at the far end and rather decided to run with the ball to the non-striker's end -- the side towards which Farooqi was running.

Jaiswal eventually won the race and ran Farooqi out.

Shivam Dube (63 not out off 32) and Jaiswal (68 off 34) made a mockery of Afghanistan's total as India chased down a 173-run target in 15.4 overs in Indore. The win helped the Rohit Sharma-led side take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Virat Kohli, who scored 29 runs off 16 balls, also played a crucial role in providing India a flying start in the chase.
