A day after revealing their official kit for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) also unveiled their speical "green" kit at an event in Chennai. RCB captain Faf du Plessis, star batter Virat Kohli, all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and pacer Mohammed Siraj were present at the event to unveil the special kit. However, Faf was caught by surprise after a party cracker got burst near him. The RCB captain turned around his face after being stunned by the party cracked.

Seeing Faf's reaction, Kohli and Maxwell couldn't control their laughter and were seen mocking Faf over the same.

RCB revealed their playing kit for IPL 2024 at their unbox event at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Tuesday.

RCB were also renamed to Royal Challengers Bengaluru from Royal Challengers Bangalore at the event, marking the start of a new era.

At the Unbox event, RCB's men's team gave a guard of honour to the women's team for their title-winning campaign in WPL.

Kohli hoped to emulate the women's team and add the IPL trophy to the franchise's cabinet in the upcoming edition of IPL.

"It was absolutely amazing. When they won it (WPL), we were watching. Hopefully, we can double it up with the trophies and that will be something truly special," said Kohli during the RCB Unbox event here at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Kohli, who will start his 17th season with the RCB in IPL 2024, said he would bank on his skillsets and experience to translate the dream of winning the IPL trophy into reality this year.
