WATCH | The moment Chris Smith breaks Sharks' hearts

With the United Rugby Championship (URC) quarter-final clash between the Bulls and the Sharks all tied up and heading into extra time, it took a decisive intervention by Bulls flyhalf Chris Smith to secure victory for the home side.

After the Bulls had secured a 27-13 lead with a quarter of the match left, the Sharks did extremely well to work the way back into the encounter with two converted tries to tie things up at 27-27.

What followed was a period in which both sides produced brilliant turnovers as each was on the attack as the match headed to extra time.

One final push from the Bulls, however, saw them camping under the Sharks uprights with drive after drive at the line.

Eventually, the ball came back to Smith in the pocket, and he popped over the match-winning drop goal to give the home side a 30-27 victory.
