WATCH | The goals that brought Banyana Afcon glory

There was delight all around South Africa late on Saturday evening as Banyana Banyana claimed the 2022 Women's Africa Cup of Nations by beating hosts Morocco 2-1 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium. 

A brace by Hildah Magaia in the 63rd and 79th minutes ensured victory for South Africa.

The first goal, in particular, ended a flowing move while the second saw Magaia pounce on a mistake by the Morrocan defence to slot home.

Banyana will return to South Africa on Tuesday, 26 July, landing at 10:00 at the O.R Tambo International Airport.
