The football world is set to award the latest Ballon d'Or winners.
A host of stars worldwide have been nominated for the game's top individual prize, which will be given to the most outstanding player of the previous season. The results will solely focus on players' performances during the 2024/25 campaign and won't take into account the first few weeks of the new season.
Manchester City star Rodri clinched the men's award last year, while Barcelona's Aitana Bonmati secured the 2024 women's Ballon d'Or. This year, PSG have several nominees for the men's Ballon d'Or following their Champions League victory.
Meanwhile, City forward Erling Haaland is also among the nominees, but Rodri's injury-hit season last term sees the current Ballon d'Or holder miss out. In the women's game, the Lionesses successfully defending the Euros has resulted in multiple nominations for Sarina Wiegman's squad, with Arsenal pair Leah Williamson and Alessia Russo also winning the Champions League.
The Ballon d'Or ceremony will also present the first-ever women's Kopa trophy, awarded to the world's best under-21 player, as well as introducing a Yashin trophy for the women's game, given to the top goalkeeper. The Gerd Muller trophy goes to the highest scoring striker.
Other awards include club and coach of the year, along with the Socrates award for humanitarian work. Here's all the details on how to watch the Ballon d'Or ceremony.
The Ballon d'Or awards ceremony is set to take place at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris on Monday, September 22. The proceedings will kick off at 7pm UK time.
Unfortunately, the Ballon d'Or award ceremony won't be broadcast on UK television, but it will be available to live stream for free on L'Équipe's YouTube
