When Prithvi Shaw made a comeback to Ranji Trophy after a prolonged absence due to injury, there was lot of hope for the Indian cricket team star. Off-form has seen Prithvi Shaw lose his place in the Indian cricket team while his performance in  the Indian Premier League has not been great either. However, in just his second match after comeback, Prithvi Shaw scored 159 against Chhattisgarh. In the Ranji Trophy semi-final, Prithvi Shaw scored 87 against Baroda.

All this raised hope that Shaw may be back on track to redeem himself. In the final against Vidarbha, Shaw scored 46 in the first innings. In the second innings, he was out for 11, leaving Mumbai in a tricky spot.  Shaw was cleaned up when Yash Thakur got one to nip back as the ball sneaked between the India player's bat and pads.

Shaw was stunned, so were social media users. The mode of Shaw's dismissal disappointed them. Shaw got dismissed in similar fashion in  the past too in every format.
