WATCH | Pommie's spine-tingling final ball commentary as Zimbabwe beat Pakistan: 'Man oh man!'

Former Zimbabwe international-turned-commentator Mpumelelo "Pommie" Mbangwa rose to the occasion in the commentary booth as his countrymen shocked Pakistan by one run during the T20 World Cup in Perth on Thursday.

Mbangwa gave spine-tingling, heart-warming commentary, beating his bleeding heart inside his chest in the process, at the end of one of Zimbabwe' s most memorable victories in an ICC major tournament.

Zimbabwe were restricted to 130-8 after electing to bat first, but their bowlers, led by Pakistan-born Sikandar Raza, choked Pakistan to 129-8 for a memorable win in a Super 12 thriller.

"Man oh man! Heart-stopping stuff I tell you!" Mbangwa said at the top of his voice.

"What a victory for Zimbabwe. They were gone, dead and half-buried at the halfway stage with just 130 on the board.

"But somehow, somehow with those tall bowlers, with the bounce here at Perth, with Raza in the middle with three [wickets], they’ve fought and fought and finally managed to get home.

"What a win, by just one run."

The former right-arm fast bowler played 15 Tests and 29 ODIs for Zimbabwe between 1996 and 2002.
