Watch Philippe Clement's Rangers press conference IN FULL as Celtic 'six pointer' shows fans have long memories

Philippe Clement may have only sampled one Old Firm game so far, but the Rangers boss already knows two things; they are six pointes and fans have LONG memories.

The Belgian welcomes, for want of a better word, Celtic to Ibrox on Sunday in what could be a pivotal title clash. Not decisive, according to Clement, but it's potential bearing on where the Premiership trophy ends up this season cannot be denied. Since that 2-1 defeat at Parkhead at the end of 2023, Gers have been almost flawless, only dropping points in one game out of 11.

Triumph on Sunday and they'll be top of the pile again, with the chance to extend their lead away to Dundee next Wednesday night. But Clement knows that even then, it won't be game over with another trip across Glasgow to come after the split. He said: "It's always a six point game. This we know.

And we scored more goals than Celtic in that period and less goals against.

"So that's really good consistency but it's not a guarantee for anything. It's a really big step froward from the period at the beginning of the season and also my first part of the season. There has been more consistency, better results, a bigger squad with more people ready to do the job, so I see my team growing month by month. Now this is the next challenge."

Much has been made about officiating in this fixture, but that's not a new development. Clement
