Watch: Pakistan Star Risks Injury For Catch, Clutches His Chest In Pain During Bangladesh Premier League Match. Then This Happens

The Bangladesh Premier League has seen some scintillating action. Apart from Bangladesh stars top names from around the world are also participating. Recently, Fortune Barishal roped in another Pakistan player Ahmed Shehzad. The star player Ahmed Shehzad has been in decent form in the BPL. Currently, he is among the top overseas performers in  the T20 league. In six matches, he has scored ovr 150 runs at a 140-plus strike-rate.

He has been giving it all in fielding too. On Wednesday, during a match between Fortune Barishal and Durdanto Shaka, Shehzad risked injury while going for a catch of Mohammad Naim off Keshav Maharaj's bowling. In the process, he hurt himself. After Naim went for the pull and struck towards deep mid-wicket, Shehzad ran in and dive forward to take the catch, but landed on his elbow as he hit the ground. He clutched his chest in pain. However, he took a clean catch.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan cricket team skipper Shoaib Malik returned to the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) after abruptly leaving amid rumours of 'match fixing'. Earlier, media reports claimed that Malik was under the scanner for 'match fixing' after bowling three no-balls in a single over during the match against Khulna Tigers. However, he officially refuted those rumours with a post on social media.

"I would like to address and dismiss the recent rumors circulating about my playing position with Fortune Barishal. I had a thorough discussion with our captain, Tamim Iqbal, and we mutually planned the way forward. I had to leave Bangladesh for a pre-committed media engagement in Dubai," he posted.
