Watch Jota spark Ittihad frenzy as Celtic hero responds to transfer talk with first Saudi goal

He's been subject to rampant transfer talk - but Jota has responded with his dancing dribbling skills and his first goal for Al-Ittihad since leaving Celtic.

The Premiership club sold the Portuguese winger for £25m as the Saudi Pro League big spenders shelled out mega money on another import, also signing Karim Benzema, Fabinho and N'Golo Kante ahead of this season. They've also been linked with bringing Mo Salah in from Liverpool and this has all come amid a backdrop of noise Jota is on his way out already.

Al Ittihad are believed to have knocked back two loan offers from rival middle-east clubs with a view to getting him out of the club permanently but the Celtic favourite has sent a reminder of his worth. With their clash against Al-Wehda standing at 1-0 to Nuno Espirito Santo's side, the 24-year-old was brought off the bench to make an impact after a Karim Benzema injury in the first half.

Just a few minutes after Romarinho's opener, the winger raced through on goal and slipped a shot under Abdulquddus Atiah before racing away to celebrate. Igor Coronado's goal sealed a 3-0 win and kept Al Ittihad top with a 100% record from four games.

Fans have been left amazed by the winger's run and goal. One quoted a song made in the Parkhead stands by saying "Jota on the wing" while another backed up the praise with "I told you, by God, the boy has it."

A fan online held nothing back in their assessment, saying "A legendary goal and its celebration with the heart." One simply said "great goal" and "Praise be to God" was also added as Jota proved he does his talking on the park amid all the noise off it, with fans responding in their masses with major praise for their summer signing.
