WATCH | Jonty Rhodes helps groundstaff as torrential rain strikes Kingsmead

Rain played havoc with Friday's SA20 fixtures in both Johannesburg and Durban.

The first match at the Wanderers between the Joburg Super Kings and the Paarl Royals was abandoned with the Royals on 131/4 after 15 overs.

The second match at Kingsmeand between Durban's Super Giants and Sunrisers Easter Cape saw the rain stop play on two occasions.

The second, however, was a torrential downpour as Sunrisers reached 53/3 after 5 overs.

The rain was so intense that the ground staff had trouble moving the covers over the square, but that didn't stop former Protea Jonty Rhodes, now a coach at the Super Giants from jumping in and lending a hand, along with Simon Harmer and a few others from the franchise.

WATCH below as Jonty gets soaked but helps out anyway!
