There have been some fantastic tries scored throughout 2022 in various rugby competitions around the world, but you'd have done well if you found one that's better than Mateo Carreras' effort for Newcastle Falcons on Saturday.

Carreras, capped three times for the Pumas, left defenders in his wake as he collected a deep kick, running from his own 22m area to score.

Carreras' effort was not enough, however, as the Falcons went down 32-31 to Northampton.
