It was a momentous occasion for Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya as they became the first siblings to captain opposing sides in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The feat was achieved as Hardik led the defending champions Gujarat Titans while Krunal took over the Lucknow Super Giants captaincy from the injured KL Rahul. The occasion turned hilarious during the toss as Hardik had a correct TV presenter Murali Kartik from making a huge mistake. Krunal called heads and although the coin did come up heads, Kartik mistakenly called it tails. Both the brothers were left in splits and the mistake was rectified instantly.
