Watch: Fan Invades Pitch To Touch MS Dhoni's Feet. What Happens Next...

A fan invaded the pitch at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to touch MS Dhoni's feet during the IPL 2024 match between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans on Friday. During the final over of CSK's run chase, the fan ran inside the ground and bowed down to touch Dhoni's feet. Dhoni acted like he was running away first but stopped as the fan bowed down in respect. It caused a small delay in the match as security escorted him out of the ground. Dhoni ended up scoring an unbeaten 26 off just 11 deliveries with a couple of trademark shots but it was not enough to clinch the win for CSK.

Coming to the match, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan slammed brilliant centuries as GT kept their IPL 2024 playoff dreams alive with a crucial victory over CSK.

Rashid Khan, who was bowling when the incident happened, opened up after the match about the kind of love and support that MS Dhoni enjoys all around India during the IPL.

Meanwhile, CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad admitted that they were "10-15 run short".

"Our fielding let us down, we gave away 10-15 runs extra I think, execution wise we were good, but they played some really good shots. You can't control batters when they playing so well and going good. It's real quick, we got to fly quick and we have a tough game in Chennai, so we
