Warzone 2: Strange Modern Warfare 2 beta glitch reveals Warzone menu

A strange Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 beta glitch has been giving players a glimpse of a Warzone 2 menu screen, as per a new report from Dexerto.

The upcoming release, a sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare reboot, is one of the most hyped games of the year.

That is always the case with Call of Duty titles, but the new game appears to have taken on something of a life of its own when it comes to the sheer amount of excitement around the game.

The beta, which was released on PlayStation over the weekend, first for players who have pre-ordered, and then for everyone with a PS Plus account, has only added more fuel to the fire.

As with all betas, it wasn’t exactly perfect, and it’s designed to allow developers Infinity Ward to iron out all of the bugs before launch, which comes on October 28th.

But one glitch has now heightened the focus on Warzone 2, the follow-up to Call of Duty’s free-to-play battle royale mode.

Dexerto has spotted the fact that one player on the Warzone subreddit has discovered a menu for the new mode within the beta.

Sybrun noted that they had tried to simply play the game and were inadvertently sent towards a Warzone 2 menu.

It has a brick-like colour scheme, and there are seven characters featured, with text overlay saying that it is going to be a Warzone Private Match.

As Dexerto notes, this could suggest that players who wish to play Warzone 2 will have to access the Modern Warfare 2 menu to do so.

This was the case for the first instalment of Warzone too, as you needed to launch Modern Warfare in order to play it.

That led to the file size getting pretty out of hand for the latter, as it stands at anything between 170GB and 200GB depending on whether or not you have the campaign loaded.
