Warriors' Steve Kerr likens Caitlin Clark to Steph Curry, calls her battles with WNBA vets 'rite of passage'

The way WNBA veterans have been competing against the league's No. 1 overall pick, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark, has been at the top of sports debate since her rookie season began last month.
The hot-button topic has trickled into other sports leagues, including those in the NBA who have been watching Clark's stardom form as a professional after her illustrious college career.
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was asked by MSNBC if he understands what Clark is going through, especially having been teammates with NBA legend Michael Jordan and seeing how teams would blatantly try to get him off his game with hard fouls, trash talk and more.

However, Kerr countered with a player he still coaches when comparing an NBA superstar to Clark.
"I think it’s a rite of passage for young players, whether it’s the WNBA or the NBA. The other players are going to test you," Kerr began. "Caitlin reminds me a lot of Steph Curry."

Why exactly did Kerr compare what Clark's going through to Curry? Well, he was a first-round draft pick, though he didn't go first overall in 2009. That was Blake Griffin.
