Warrington Wolves announce triple pack signing as heavy recruitment drive begins

Warrington Wolves have announced the triple signing of Thomas Mikaele, Sam Kasiano and Gil Dudson. All three players play in the forward positions, meaning that Wire will have a pack to be reckoned with next season.

Mikaele will join the Wire with immediate effect after leaving West Tigers to complete the deal, signing a two and a half year deal at the club. Kasiano and Dudson both join from last years Grand Finalists, Catalan Dragons, both joining the club on two year deals starting next season.

The triple signing shows the Wolves’ intent to challenge at the top of the Super League next season, after a less than impressive campaign this time around. However, signing Mikaele for this year might just boost their hopes of pushing for a play-off place come the end of the season.

Speaking to the clubs website about the move, Mikaele said: “I haven’t been excited like this in a long time. It’s pretty surreal and has happened so quickly over the last couple of days.

“To get the opportunity to come over to the Wire is exciting for me and my family. I can’t wait to get over there. It’s a fresh start for me to show what I can do."

Mikaele will arrive in Warrington next week and could even be available for the Wolves’ next fixture against Leeds Rhinos. Dudson and Kasiano have both shown their excitement too, as the duo will both swap south France for Cheshire.

This is also a sign of faith in head coach Daryl Powell, after he has been subject to scrutiny from the clubs supporters, he expressed his delight on the new signings.

“I am delighted we’re able to boost our front row for this season and next with three real quality signings.”
