Wales World Cup press conference Live as Warren Gatland explains team to face Fiji

Warren Gatland will face the media today as he explains his team selection for Wales' World Cup opener against Fiji on Sunday.

Wales head into the clash in Bordeaux knowing that victory is crucial to their hopes of getting out of the pool stages.

As such, Gatland has thrown in talismanic Taulupe Faletau, despite the No. 8 having played no part in the warm-up games.

There's a decent mix of experience and youth in his side, with captain Jac Morgan one of 10 players in the matchday 23 to be making his World Cup debut.

From first glance, the team selection gives a good indication as to how Wales will want to play against the Fijians - with the starting XV seemingly set up to stifle the Fijian flair through a pragmatic territory game and the bench more adept at forcing and capitalising on turnovers should Fiji be chasing the game at that point.

Gatland will face the media at midday UK time. You can follow the press conference live in the blog below.

Wales team to face Fiji: Liam Williams; Louis Rees-Zammit, George North, Nick Tompkins, Josh Adams; Dan Biggar, Gareth Davies; Gareth Thomas, Ryan Elias, Tomas Francis, Will Rowlands, Adam Beard, Aaron Wainwright, Jac Morgan (c), Taulupe Faletau.

Replacements: Elliot Dee, Corey Domachowski, Dillon Lewis, Dafydd Jenkins, Tommy Reffell, Tomos Williams, Sam Costelow, Rio Dyer.
