Wales Women v Netherlands Live: Updates as hundreds of fans gather ahead of Euro 2025 match

Rhian Wilkinson's Wales will etch their names into the history books when they face Netherlands in Euro 2025 today. It will be the first time that Cymru have made it to a major women's tournament and whatever the result, it will be a day to remember for Welsh football.

Wales will go up against France and England, as well as Netherlands, in a tough group for their first outing on the elite stage. Angharad James skippers her country ahead of the monumental occasion and will be helped by the leadership of Welsh legend Jess Fishlock, who recently returned from injury.

The host city for the first match is Lucerne in Switzerland, with the final two group games taking place in St Gallen next week.

The Red Wall descended on the Swiss city on Friday evening, with streams of bucket hats and vibrant kits filling the fan zone outside the train station.

Both sets of supporters are set to take part in a fan march to the stadium on match day, in a unique sight in the footballing world.
