Wales team announcement live updates as Warren Gatland names side for Italy Six Nations clash

Warren Gatland will today name his Wales side to face Italy in Rome on Saturday, and it's fair to say he is expected to mix things up.

There could well be as many as seven alterations to the side defeated by England last time out, with Louis Rees-Zammit among those who could be relegated to the bench.

Alun Wyn Jones could also be left out, but Rhys Webb may well be handed his first Test start since 2020, having spent much of the Wayne Pivac era out in the cold.

Dan Biggar is expected to partner him at half-back, with Liam Williams returning at full-back and Rio Dyer taking slotting in out wide.

Up front could see the likes of Wyn Jones, Dafydd Jenkins and Jac Morgan all start.

Gatland is due to announce his Wales team late this morning, before holding a press conference to explain his selection decisions. You'll be able to follow live updates on our live blog below.
