Wales press conference Live as players told team to face England

Wales will hold a press conference today as the build-up for the Six Nations opener against England ramps up.

Steve Tandy is expected to name his team later in the week, with the Wales coach likely telling his players today. England have already named their team early, with Steve Borthwick revealing his hand on Monday.

With England in a pre-Six Nations training camp in Girona, Borthwick opted to spring the surprise team at the start of the week.

Captain Maro Itoje is named on the bench after joining up with the side a few days late after flying to Nigeria for the funeral of his mother, Florence.

Elsewhere, Henry Arundell will make his first start for England since the 2023 World Cup.

England head into Saturday's match as heavy favourites - with Wales having not won in the Six Nations in three years.

Wales' press conference is expected to start around 1pm and you can follow it live in the blog below.

England: Freddie Steward; Immanuel Feyi-Waboso, Tommy Freeman, Fraser Dingwall, Henry Arundell; George Ford, Alex Mitchell; Ellis Genge, Jamie George (c), Joe Heyes, Alex Coles, Ollie Chessum, Guy Pepper, Sam Underhill, Ben Earl.

Replacements: Luke Cowan-Dickie, Bevan Rodd, Trevor Davison, Maro Itoje, Tom Curry, Henry Pollock, Ben Spencer, Marcus Smith.
