WAFL round-up: O'Dwyer helps Lions to victory, Wall on target again

Brisbane Lions and Orla O'Dwyer made it four wins in a row with a crushing 61-7 win over Hawthorn at the Skybus Stadium.

The ladder leaders kicked nine goals in all with O’Dwyer contributing a behind along with 17 disposals and 14 kicks.

Jesse Wardlaw led the way once again with her three goals taking her tally to 17 for the season.

It was a tough day for Irish pair Aileen Gilroy and Áine McDonagh, who each had eight disposals, as the Hawks suffered back-to-back losses.

Collingwood lost ground on the leading pack after a poor 25-57 defeat to North Melbourne.

Sarah Rowe and Aisling Sheridan clocked up 25 disposals and 16 kicks, but they were overrun by the visitors.

Amongst those profiting for the away side were Vikki Wall, who helped herself to another goal, while Erika O’Shea also featured.

Fremantle also had a win on the road with a 42-28 win against the Sydney Swans. Áine Tighe and Amy Mulholland were both on the scoreboard for the Dockers as they each notched a behind.

Aisling McCarthy’s West Coast Eagles also suffered a home loss as they were defeated 55-23 by the Western Bulldogs.
