A social media post from Big Bash League franchise Sydney Sixes about Indian cricket team star batter Virat Kohli has gone viral. Sydney Sixers announced on Tuesday that Virat has signed with them for the next two BBL seasons. For context, the BCCI does not allow any centrally-contracted India cricketers to play in any domestic cricket league other than the Indian Premier League (IPL). As a result, the announcement came as a huge shock for fans who were left stunned. However, the Sixers later revealed that this was a prank planned by them to celebrate April Fools' Day.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are all set to retain their A+ grade contract, which is worth Rs 7 crore in the BCCI's annual player contracts.
