"Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma's Return To Deny Youngsters?" Reporter Asks Yuvraj Singh. His Reply

Ahead of the 2024 T20 World Cup, it is now almost clear that the players' performance in the first half of the IPL will be crucial. The Indian cricket team is currently engaged with Afghanistan in a T20I series. The return of two veterans - Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli - has made things more interesting. After the 2022 T20 World Cup, where India lost in the semi-final, there general notion was that India would bank on youth going forward in T20Is. However, things are different now. There are speculations on the captaincy too. While Hardik Pandya was the favourite earlier, now Rohit Sharma is clearly in the fray.   

In the midst of this, Yuvraj Singh, in a press conference, was told that there have been talks since Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were recalled for the T20I series against Afghanistan. "Kis tarike ki baatein chal rahi hai (What type of talks are going on)?" Yuvraj Singh replied. 

The reporter told that there were talks that because Rohit And Kohli are back, the. youngsters will not get a chance. Yuvraj Singh smiled and started singing: "Kuch toh log kehnge, logo ka kaam hai kehna (People will say a lot of things, it's their job). They are here after more than a year because they play all three formats. When one plays three formats, they get tired. They have to manage their bodies. They have to manage their cricket."

Then the reporter asked if India will win the T20 World Cup or not. "Yeh aap bhagwaan se puchiye. Wahi bata payenge (This you have to ask God. Only he can tell you)," a cheeky Yuvraj replied.
