Virals: Liverpool 'closely' following Juventus star Paulo Dybala

Liverpool are reported to be ‘closely’ following the contract situation around Juventus star Paulo Dybala.

The 28-year-old has seemingly become an option for the summer having failed to agree to a new deal to extend a stay in Turin beyond this season.

Now soon to be a free agent, the Reds, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan are attentive to the possibility of a potentially ‘sensational’ signing.

That’s according to a report from Tutto Mercato Web, as cited by Liverpool FC News on Twitter.

The report claims that the 32-cap Argentina ace will require a ‘heavy salary’ but Liverpool have ‘followed him closely’ as a possible replacement for Roberto Firmino.

So far this season Dybala – once hailed as ‘special’ by Alessandro Del Piero – has scored 11 times and provided four assists in 23 appearances across all competitions.

Still holding a market value of £45million despite being a free agent in a matter of months (Transfermarkt), signing the Argentinian would be a superb piece of business from the Reds.

In the prime of what has already been a wonderfully trophy-laden career, Dybala would have plenty left in the tank to offer Jurgen Klopp’s side.

As the German manager looks to rejuvenate the attacking line, as a renowned false nine or second striker, bringing the star to Merseyside without a fee is a no-brainer.
