Virals: Japanese club make big Celtic related announcement
Celtic seem to have completed their first transfer deal of the summer, as Daizen Maeda is to join the club on a permanent deal.
The striker initially joined the Hoops on loan from Yokohama F. Marinos, but the J-League side took to Twitter on Monday to announce that the striker’s sale to Celtic has been formalized.
As yet, the deal has not been announced at the Celtic end, but it could be a matter of time until that happens.
When the forward joined the Hoops in the January transfer window, it was reported that the fee in the option to buy the player was around £1.7m. It seems that the option has been taken up, and Maeda will be a Celtic player for the foreseeable future.

There was never any chance of Daizen Maeda not joining Celtic on a permanent basis, as he has been a vital player for the Bhoys since joining the club in the January transfer window.
He marked his debut with a goal against Hibernian, and hasn’t looked back since, as he helped the Bhoys to a memorable Premiership title triumph.
What is perhaps most impressive about the player is that he is able to play as a main striker and on the wing, and he excelled in both roles for the Hoops in his time at the club.
Arguably his best performance for Celtic so far was in the vital win at Ibrox over Rangers in April. He didn’t find the back of the net, but he didn’t stop running over the 90 minutes, and his relentless performance gave the Rangers defence plenty of problems.
Ange Postecoglou must be thrilled with how the 24-year-old has performed for the Hoops so far in his brief time at the club, and he will be expecting the player to perform even better next season, when he has a full pre-season behind him, and hasn’t completed a season in the
