Virals: Celtic legends laud 'incredible' champions elect

Celtic’s 4-1 win over Hearts has taken the Hoops to the verge of the Premiership title. A draw against Dundee United at Tannadice on Wednesday would be enough for the Bhoys to win the title in Ange Postecoglou’s first season as Celtic manager.

Two former Celtic players who have been impressed with the Hoops this season are the striking duo of John Hartson and Chris Sutton. Both men took to Twitter in the aftermath of the game to praise the Hoops.

Hartson reckoned that some of the football played by Celtic in the win was ‘incredible’

Whilst Sutton hailed Ange Postecoglou for the ‘amazing job’ he has done at Celtic Park, and called the upcoming title win an ‘incredible achievement’.

READ CELTIC VERDICT:

Celtic did indeed play some great football in the win over Hearts, especially when you consider that the Hoops started slowly and fell a goal behind in the game. 

That didn’t stop the Bhoys from turning in a display that was worthy of a team that will win the title. The Hoops played with a lot of attacking flair, which has been the hallmark of the side under Ange Postecoglou.

As for the comments that Sutton made about the Hoops boss, he is correct about the job that the Australian has done to transform the club.

Postecoglou has managed to pull together a club that looked to be broken last season, and has managed to overcome a Rangers side which has reached a European final to win the league, and for that he deserves huge credit, and all the plaudits he will receive on Wednesday night.

Few would have thought that after all the uncertainty in the summer, the Hoops would go on to win the title. But that is going to happen, and Postecoglou has done an exceptional job in his first season in Scottish football.
