Virals: Celtic boss sends exciting message ahead of Champions League

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has spoken about his team’s participation in the Champions League group stages next season.

The Hoops boss faces the challenge of playing in the biggest club competition in football for the first time in his career, and as quoted by Australian sports channel Stan Sport Football on Twitter, it seems like the Hoops manager isn’t going to change his style of football, and is going to keep playing the exciting, attacking football which won the league.

“I’m sure, as there has been my whole career, people telling me that I need to ‘adjust my approach, temper my aggression’ and all those kind of things, but I’ve done pretty well just sticking to it, so I’ll just keep going.”

Celtic will be in Pot Four of the group stages when the draw is made in August, with three huge nights set to take place at Celtic Park.

The Celtic boss might not be being completely truthful in his comments, as he has at times played in a more conservative approach – you just need to look at the win over Rangers at Ibrox in April for an example of that.

But it is certainly an exciting prospect ahead for Celtic fans next season, seeing Postecoglou’s side go toe to toe with the best teams in Europe could make for some eventful nights at Celtic Park.

The Hoops manager might have to tweak his formation to an extent, and you have to think that there won’t be a repeat of when the Celtic boss played two attacking midfielders against Bodo/Glimt, a gamble which didn’t pay off. 

Lessons must have been learned from that game, but all in all it looks as if the Celtic boss will have the Hoops on the front foot when possible when the Bhoys play in the Champions League.
