Virals: Ange opens up on 'just brilliant' highlight of first Celtic season

Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou is on the verge of leading the Hoops to the Scottish Premiership title, a point versus Dundee United tonight will cap off a remarkable first-season in charge for the Australian, which could see him win a league and Premier Sports Cup double.

Before the game, he answered questions from Celtic fans on the club’s official Twitter account, and he was asked about his favourite game of the season so far, and his answer was an interesting one, as he pinpointed a game that was possibly the most pivotal of the season so far.

“Probably the derby when we won 3-0. The atmosphere was just brilliant.”

READ CELTIC VERDICT:

Celtic’s 3-0 win over Rangers back in February truly was a night to remember for the club. The Hoops went top of the league for the first time that night, and since then the Bhoys haven’t looked back.

The atmosphere, as mentioned by the Celtic boss, was truly incredible. The fact that the game was played at night and there were only Celtic fans at the game added to that.

The most important aspect of the game though was Celtic’s performance, and the Hoops turned in a sensational first-half display to be three goals ahead by half-time, the first time that has happened in a Glasgow derby for a long time.

Celtic dominated the game, and the likes of Reo Hatate and Giorgos Giakoumakis seemed to be inspired by the atmosphere in what was their first Glasgow derby experience.

Celtic have had some other good wins this season in the league – the massive win at Ibrox last month which all but clinched the title comes to mind. But when people look back at season 2021/22 in years to come, they will remember the 3-0 win over Rangers at Celtic Park.

It has to go down as one of Celtic’s best Glasgow derby
