Vinicius Jr went full Neymar to prime Xabi Alonso during Brazil 4-0 Paraguay

Vinicius Jr has been one of this season’s standout performers not just in La Liga but in world football.

The 21-year-old has scored 15 goals and provided 10 assists in 30 appearances for Real Madrid so far this term.

Previously criticised for his inconsistency and lack of end product, Vinicius is now regarded as one of Madrid’s most important players.

The Brazilian doesn’t turn 22 until July and it’s scary to think how good he might be in a few years’ time.

He certainly has the potential to become one of the best players of his generation if he continues to work hard and improve.

Vinicius earned his 11th international cap in Brazil’s 4-0 win over Paraguay in World Cup qualifying this week.

The winger played 61 minutes and lit up the Estadio Governador Magalhaes Pinto in Belo Horizonte with his exquisite technical abilities.

One moment of quality from Vinicius has since gone viral on social media.

After sticking the ball through the legs of Braian Ojeda, Vinicius then pinged an inch-perfect cross-field pass to Raphinha on the right wing.

Xabi Alonso or Paul Scholes would have been proud of that pass! What a ball.

The lively Vinicius was a constant thorn in Paraguay’s side during his hour on the pitch and you can watch his full highlights here:

The lad’s playing with so much confidence right now and he’s an absolute joy to watch.

Vinicius will certainly be among the players to keep a close eye on at the World Cup finals in Qatar later this year.

Brazil, who remain four points ahead of rivals Argentina following this week’s fixtures, are still on
