Vince McMahon: WWE Chairman's honest thoughts on current state of Raw & SmackDown

Vince McMahon is said to be “happy” about the current state of the WWE product and feels there is nothing to “fix”, a new report has claimed.

Speaking in terms of just the company’s finances, WWE is continuing to breaking records every single year.

The company, just this month, announced that they’d brought in revenue of over $1billion for the first time in a single calendar year.

Higher-ups are obviously going to be happy with how WWE is performing financially, and now we know about their feelings on the state of the company’s programming.

PWInsider is reporting that Vince McMahon is happy with the current state of WWE programming, and sees no issue with WWE Raw and SmackDown shows right now.

“In [Vince McMahon’s] mind, he doesn’t think anything is wrong.”

The site also goes on to explain that McMahon doesn’t think there is anything to “fix” right now, with the shows being presented in line with what he likes, which makes sense given that he’s the one in charge:

Mike Johnson spoke about the matter on PWInsider Elite’s Q&A podcast this weekend, continuing:

“We are told he pushes and presents what he likes and wants and nothing else makes a dent in that vision. That’s why the shows are presented the way they are and that’s why nothing is going to change anytime soon, if ever.”

Some feel that WWE TV is stale at the moment and needs some fresh ideas, while others are of the belief that WWE is making record profits right now, so there is no need to fix what isn’t broken.
