Vince McMahon: Pat McAfee suggests he isn't wrestling WWE Chairman at WrestleMania 38

Pat McAfee has suggested that he isn’t going to be wrestling Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 38, despite reports claiming otherwise.

Over the weekend, reports suggested that Vince McMahon is going to be making a shock return to the ring for a match at WrestleMania 38.

If reports are to be believed, the 76-year-old WWE Chairman will be taking on former NFL star and current SmackDown commentator Pat McAfee at the biggest show of the year.

The match has yet to be confirmed by WWE, despite reports suggesting it’s 100% on, but if it does happen, it’ll be Vince McMahon’s first since October 2012.

Now, taking to Twitter, Pat McAfee has seemingly suggested that he hasn’t been told he’s wrestling Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 38.

McAfee took to the social media platform to say that fans “know a lot more” about his future plans than he does, but did say he’s excited to see what happens at WrestleMania.

McAfee tweeted this while also sharing a clip of his two matches in NXT, which were very impressive, from 2020.

However, this could just be McAfee trying to throw fans off the scent, as all signs point to him working a match at WrestleMania 38 with the boss.

As noted, McAfee has only wrestled two times previously, both of which came in NXT in 2020, making this report rather interesting.
