Vince McMahon: New report reveals truth about strange ex-WWE CEO conspiracy theory

A popular conspiracy theory about former WWE CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon has been rebuffed in a new report.

Vince McMahon retired from WWE last month, stepping back in his active roles as Head of Creative, CEO and Chairman.

However, with his son-in-law Triple H and daughter Stephanie McMahon now two of the three most powerful people in WWE, many fans questioned whether Vince was truly gone.

In fact, some fans went as far as to speculate that Vince would still be running WWE behind the scenes, with HHH, Stephanie and Nick Khan’s appointment nothing more than PR move.

However, the first week or so of WWE programming has suggested this really isn’t the case, with many changes taking place that simply wouldn’t have happened under Vince’s watch.

Fightful Select has now checked with its sources and asked about Vince’s involvement in the current landscape of WWE.

The report notes that Vince is not running WWE in the shadows, meaning that his retirement from the company really was legitimate.

Sources told Fightful that SummerSlam on July 30 and Raw on August 1 simply wouldn’t have looked the way they did if Vince was still in charge (courtesy of WrestleTalk).

If Vince McMahon was still involved to any degree, neither Summerslam or WWE Raw would have resembled what they looked like. Dakota would not have been brought back, Raw would have been several Summerslam rematches.

More than that, not only is Vince said to not be running things in WWE, but Fightful explains that the ex-WWE Chairman has limited access to gaining information about what’s happening in the company now.
