Vince McMahon given WWE comeback verdict as 'several alumni' at wrestling giants flock to new company

Vince McMahon's former prime time wrestling rival has given his verdict on a sensational WWE comeback for the former boss as rumours grow of a new entertainment venture.

The 79-year-old, who is the subject of recent Netflix documentary series Mr McMahon, is no longer part of the professional wrestling giant and is under federal investigation over the allegations made by former employee Janel Grant, which he has denied.

Regardless, the controversial mega wrestling promoter is plotting a comeback and is starting up a new company, with several former WWE executives said to be jumping on board. The ‘entertainment hub company’ aims to financially back, develop and produce movie and television projects. The company is not expected to involve plans similar to WWE, but instead focus on fiction and nonfiction projects. Several WWE alumni are already working with McMahon to get the company prepped with the idea of officially unveiling it if/once his legal issues are resolved.

Eric Bischoff weighed in on the announcement in a recent interview on the Wrestling Shoot Interviews Youtube channel. Bischoff is best known for serving as senior vice president of World Championship Wrestling (WCW) during their box office TV ratings battle with WWE during the 1990s. In a shock move, Bischoff later joined WWE's Raw as the on-screen general manager years later when McMahon bought out the bankrupt WCW.

When quizzed if Vince McMahon would return to WWE at some point in the future, Bischoff replied: "No absolutely not. It will never happen."
