Villarreal 2-3 Liverpool: Jamie Carragher's reactions filmed during match

Jamie Carragher summed up the emotions of every Liverpool fan during their comeback victory over Villarreal.

Jurgen Klopp’s side went into the second leg of their Champions League semi final with a 2-0 lead. However, that was wiped out by half time in Estadio de la Ceramica thanks to goals from Boulaye Dia and Francis Coquelin.

How had Liverpool squandered their first leg advantage?

Nobody could quite believe it – and that includes Carragher.

Whilst appearing as a pundit on America’s CBS Sports alongside Thierry Henry and Micah Richards, Carragher left his seat in disbelief as Liverpool went 2-0 down.

He could only look back in disgust as Henry and Richards pointed and laughed at him.

His mood soon changed.

As Luis Diaz made it 2-2 on the night, Carragher celebrated wildly and shouted “I’m going to Paris!”

He couldn’t contain his excitement when Sadio Mane made it 3-2 on the night as he exclaimed “Paris, here we come!”

Then, at full-time, he was given a crate of four Heineken bottles and asked Henry and Richards to toast to Liverpool’s success.

While Henry didn’t drink his, Carragher and Richards downed theirs – with the former Man City defender proving far quicker.

After Liverpool’s progress to the Champions League final, their dreams of completing an incredible quadruple is still very much on.

The Reds have already landed the Carabao Cup, while they’re in the FA Cup final against the same opponents – Chelsea.

They will face either Real Madrid or Manchester City in the Champions League.

However, they still need Man City to slip up in the Premier League as they still trail by one point.
