Villa could announce Trezeguet as fourth summer departure
Steven Gerrard has wasted little time parting company with deadwood from the Aston Villa squad – Matt Targett was sold to Newcastle United, Conor Hourihane was released and Ashley Young was released.
The Villa manager isn’t done there, however, with Fanatik (h/t Sport Witness) revealing that Trezeguet could be the fourth player to leave this summer. The 27-year-old spent the second half of the season on loan at Istanbul Basaksehir and could be staying in Turkey permanently.
He scored six goals and made four assists in 13 Super Lig games for Basaksehir, resulting in him getting Trabzonspor’s attention. TS have reportedly agreed a deal for Trezeguet worth €3.5m (£3m) and are in talks over personal terms.
