Victor Lindelof agrees with Manchester United fans on what must change after Luton Town win

Manchester United supporters are in agreement with Victor Lindelof after he identified the Reds' struggles to control proceedings as an area they need to work on after Saturday's 1-0 win over Luton Town at Old Trafford.

The Swede, who was drafted into the starting line-up to replace the injured Jonny Evans, scored the only goal of the game, lashing the ball home just before the hour mark. It was enough to secure a second successive league win for the Reds, elevating them, at the time of writing, to sixth in the table.

United dominated the game for long spells and wasted a whole host of chances, registering 15 shots in total. Only four of them, however, were on target.

Despite having chances to add to their lead after Lindelof's first goal in almost three years, United struggled to control and dictate the game in the manner manager Erik ten Hag would have preferred them to. And that is an area where they need to improve, according to Lindelof.

"I don't score many goals and when I do it is fun," Lindelof told Premier League Productions. "The most important thing was getting the points and thankfully we got that today.

"I thought we played well in the first half today. We kept the ball and we were patient. We created chances as well. After we scored we dropped down a little bit in level and that is what we need to improve - to keep controlling the game.

"It is about getting the results. We need to stick together and do our thing. Hopefully, we can play better in the future as well."
