Vernon Kay confesses that wife Tess Daly's co-star 'put her breast milk in his tea'

Vernon Kay shared an unexpected revelation on his BBC Radio 2 show this morning, on the topic of breast milk.

The 50-year-old host began Thursday's programme by telling listeners that he had overslept by an hour, yet miraculously made it to the studio on time.

Vernon then invited listeners to share their own stories of last-minute successes, which prompted one listener to reveal that she had spilled all her expressed milk while rushing to a fitness class, but still managed to sort out her baby and arrive at the class punctually.

Commending the listener, Vernon remarked: "Well done you, that is top winning! Because, it's not easy being a parent, especially when you've got to express before you do everything."

The presenter then recalled a humorous incident involving his wife Tess Daly and their friend Brian Dowling.

He revealed: "I remember when Tess used to express before Strictly Come Dancing and then Brian Dowling arrived - a dear friend of ours, a beautiful friend, he's a beautiful human being Brian Dowling - and he was thirsty and he drank some inadvertently, he put it in his tea."

Brian, who co-hosted SMTV Live with Tess, has previously expressed his desire for his ex co-star to be his surrogate in the past, reports the Express.

In an interview with New Magazine in 2012, he reportedly revealed: "I think everyone wants that dream of a family so that is something I am interested in.

"If I was going to go down that road, I would do it through surrogacy because I think it would be amazing to have your own kid. I might call up Tess Daly."
