Vancouver Goldeneyes unveil new jerseys ahead of 2nd PWHL season
Ashton Bell loved wearing a Vancouver Goldeneyes jersey last season.
Now she can't wait to don the new version as the Professional Women's Hockey League team readies for its second campaign.
"They added so many cool touches to make it special to Vancouver and to our team," the defender said. "I'm obsessed with them and can't wait to rep them."
Bell, Vancouver's captain, was on hand as the Goldeneyes unveiled their new threads on Wednesday.

The jersey features the team's logo — a golden eye encircled by wings — stitched in the centre, and has bronze lines on each sleeve reminiscent of wings. Miniature outlines of the logo sit inside the numbers on the back.
The team said in a release that V-shaped blocking on the lower sides is meant to convey motion and speed, and allude to the "V" in the team's "flying V" post-game celebration.
The Goldeneyes played their first season in jerseys that featured a diagonal "Vancouver" down the centre, similar to designs worn by the league's original six teams in the inaugural PWHL campaign.

The new design represents both the city and the team, said forward Jenn Gardiner, who hails from nearby Surrey, B.C.
"All the colours are the same but it's kind of exciting because we didn't know what direction they were going to take it and how they were going to put the logo on and bring it to life on these jerseys," she said. "But I think they did an amazing job."
