Vaclav Hladky in Aberdeen transfer boost as Ipswich willing to sell Jim Goodwin target

Aberdeen have been given a major transfer boost in their bid for a new keeper after learning Ipswich Town are willing to sell Vaclav Hladky this summer.

Aberdeen are looking for a new keeper this summer and Record Sport earlier reported the former St Mirren keeper was one of Goodwin's top targets.

He isn't playing at Ipswich and is prepared to leave in search of regular football.

The Portman Road club won't block a move but they are determined to recoup the majority of the six figure fee they paid Salford City for his services.

There is other interest in the 31-year-old but Hladky is known to be keen to return north and to work with Goodwin again.

Goodwin also admitted this week there will be money available for transfer fees and he would have the scope to buy Hladky.

Aberdeen are keen on Wolves midfielder Connor Ronan and Wigan Athletic’s Jamie McGrath.

Goodwin has worked with both players previously at St Mirren.

Ronan is currently still on loan at St Mirren
